Golucho was born in Mardid, Spain 1949. he is a well known contemporary figurative painter throughout Spain, with numerous shows including Madrid, Paris, Brussels, Philadelphia, and New York. He began painting at 12 years old, and his education included studying the Old Masters in the Prado and at Buen Retiro Palace. In 1964 he studied in Paris at the Place des Vosges for 6 years. The rest of his career has been self informed. His work connects with the flow of new realism and is characterized by the use of textures and characters to represent real life. His paintings have traveled cities like Paris, Philadelphia, New York, Brussels, as well as Madrid, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca or Alicante.
